Vrushali Mendon is a Senior Research Engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, specializing in building energy and decarbonization research. She has developed methodologies and analytical frameworks for the US Department of Energy (DOE) to support policy decisions around building energy codes at the national and regional level since 2010. Her background is in large-scale energy modeling, data analysis, predictive modeling for control and optimization, cost analyses, and codes and standards. She was one of the core developers of the DOE residential and commercial prototype building models and the DOE energy savings and cost-effectiveness methodologies widely used by the industry and academia. Vrushali has authored over 200 technical reports and papers and serves on several committees for ASHRAE and ICC.

Vrushali has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the North Carolina State University.
