ALFREDO GUTIERREZ

Alfredo has been supporting California’s utilities in energy efficiency since he started his career at Southern California Edison in 2009. While there, he developed over 150 energy efficiency work papers that supported energy savings goals while ensuring the savings claimed were accurate and robust. After Southern California Edison, Alfredo was responsible for developing cost effective programs that could be offered throughout the state of California as well as across the nation that would focus on deep savings while being cost effective. Alfredo interacts with not only the utilities, but regulators and implementers to ensure energy savings claimed are accurate and meet the requirements of the various programs. Lastly, he has been a part of CalTRACK since 2013 as well as NMEC development to help shape program designs to utilize NMEC data to support savings above existing baselines. Throughout his career, Alfredo has become an expert in various energy modeling software as well as engineering principles used to quantify energy savings associated with energy efficient measures.

 Alfredo received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is also a registered mechanical engineer in the state of California.
