Ron has over 30 years of experience in electric and gas demand side management, power generation, gas engineering, distributed energy resources, energy technology evaluations, and energy system economics. He provides expertise in distributed generation, energy storage, commercial & industrial energy efficiency and intelligent energy systems to utilities, energy service providers, government agencies and end-users. Ron has managed several investment grade energy audits, performed hundreds of verification efforts and developed high fidelity savings models for commercial measures and industrial processes. He is currently a LARTA Institute Principal Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy Commercialization Assistance Program. Previously, Ron served as a member of the California Manufacturing Technology Consulting board of directors, CEC’s Energy Innovative Small Grant Program Technical Review Board, Technical Advisory Committee for the National Fuel Cell Research Center and the CPUC’s IDSM Project Coordination Group.
Ron has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University. He is a California licensed Professional Engineer and an AEE Certified Measurement & Verification Professional and Distributed Generation Certified Professional.
