Dan Rendler has 30 years of experience with the California public utilities and currently leads the development and implementation of energy efficiency and low income assistance policy and programs for Southern California Gas Company’s (SoCalGas) diverse customer base. He has extensive experience in developing energy partnerships, including a nation-leading joint energy efficiency program partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Pacific Rim Consortium on Energy and Technology. Prior to his current position, Dan held a variety of leadership positions at SoCalGas and San Diego Gas & Electric including roles in technology & new product development, environment and safety, residential, commercial & industrial customer services, customer contact centers, gas operations and emergency services. Dan has served on numerous advisory boards and community based organizations. He was elected Chairman of the Board for the Inland Empire Economic Partnership where he led the effort to improve the quality of life and business in one of the most underserved regions in the nation, was a founding member of the Crescenta Valley Town Council and appointed to the City of Redlands Climate Action Taskforce.
Dan has an MBA from the University of Redlands, where he received the Gordon Atkins Award for life-long learning and was inducted into the Whitehead Leadership Society, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Northridge.
