Director for Regulatory Affairs, California Municipal Utilities Association
Anthony ‘Tony’ Andreoni joined the California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA) in 2010 as the Director of Regulatory Affairs; he is responsible for representing the association before the many state agencies impacting public energy and water utilities. Prior to joining CMUA, he worked in state government for 18 years. Most recently he served at the California Air Resources Board (CARB), as Chief of the Research & Economics Studies Branch. Tony also managed a number of high-profile regulatory and incentive programs for clean vehicles, commercial refrigeration systems and automotive consumer products. He also oversaw the CARB’s economic analysis on the Renewable Electricity Standard.
Tony has an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento. He is also a registered California Professional Engineer
