Alina has supported utility energy efficiency programs in California for about nine years. For the past seven years at Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) she has managed workpapers for different technologies and performed energy audits, custom project reviews, and EE marketing claim reviews. She currently serves as an expert engineer for PG&E where she provides technical support for PG&E’s lighting and swimming pool programs, manages the related workpapers, and communicates with the CPUC’s Energy Division concerning workpaper and data reporting issues. Previously she spent two years as the Business Energy Coalition’s engineering manager for the Demand Response Program for large customers in the Bay Area where she managed the communications and data acquisition infrastructure.
Alina holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. She also received the certificate for Integrated Demand Side Management (IDSM) from California State University, Hayward. Prior to working in energy efficiency in California, Alina worked at Ford Motor Company in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as an automotive test engineer and driver, where for over 6 years she did field testing, data acquisition, and analysis at multiple sites across the country and internationally.
